As vacancies arise, we will post them on this page. However, in the meantime, we are always interested in hearing from potential candidates. If you are a person that enjoys working with the general public and animals, are confident and reliable, and whose priorities are customer care and high standards at all times, we’d love to hear from you.
The Longdown Activity Farm volunteer scheme has been launched to provide local people with a chance to gain valuable work experience, or as an outlet for opportunities to reach out in the community. The scheme includes chances to work with various animal species, and also maintenance projects including landscaping.
The scheme is open to those aged 18 to 118, and to all abilities: some of our special needs students have joined the scheme. Some people will be using this as a social gathering opportunity, whilst many will be using this as an opportunity to improve their work skills and experience, enhancing their CVs.
All the staff at Longdown are very supportive of the volunteer scheme and enjoy working with their new colleagues.
Volunteer work could include working with the poultry, in the stables, general maintenance, working in the tearoom and shops, and lots more.
If you are interested in becoming a part of our volunteer scheme, contact us using either method below.
Please email or send a CV along with a covering letter to:
