When I want to visit Longdown Activity Farm, can I turn up and pay on the day at admissions?
To keep our team and visitors safe while they are at Longdown Activity Farm it is our intention to continue with our Covid safety measures for the time being. Visitor numbers will continue to be restricted which means that you need to pre-book a ticket online using our website where you can choose a day and timeslot to visit.

You used to offer a 10% discount by booking online – is this offer still available?Sorry, because all tickets must now be sold online, and time slots allocated, we have temporarily ceased the online discount. This will return once normal operations resume.

I have a valid season ticket, so do I still need to book online?
So that we can adhere to a maximum number of visitors on the farm, even if you have a season ticket, you still need to book a timeslot online. You will not be charged for this.

Will you be offering your normal schedule of daily activities?
Yes, our full schedule of daily activities is available. The duration for each activity has been extended to allow for social distancing. Unfortunately, egg collecting is not available, but this will be regularly reviewed.

Is the tractor and trailer ride available?
Yes! The popular (and very bumpy) tractor and trailer ride is available when ground conditions allow. Three family bubbles will be permitted per ride. There is no extra charge for the tractor and trailer ride.

What about the children’s play areas?
A large selection of children’s play areas are available including a large outdoor play area with 4 full-size trampolines, ride-on tractors, go-karts, Crazy Golf*, Go Quackers game, diggers*, and a large indoor barn with interactive play for little ones. Each area will be regularly inspected and cleaned.

Are the toilets and Changing Room open?
Yes, our toilets and Changing Room facility will be open and operating on a one-in, one-out basis. The facilities will be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis.

Will I be able to buy food and drink in the tearoom or kiosk?
Our tearoom is open providing snacks and drinks, and from Monday 19th July there will be a small amount of seating provided inside the tearoom. There is plentiful indoor and outdoor seating provided around the farm. The kiosk will be open, as usual, during peak season. You are, of course, very welcome to bring your own picnic which can be enjoyed on one of the many picnic benches around the farm. You may want to bring your own picnic rug and sit on our large grassed area towards the back of the farm.

Are the Farm Produce Shop, Chicken Shack, and Gift Shop open?
The Farm Produce Shop and the Gift Shop are open daily, 10am to 5pm with restricted access, limiting the number of visitors that can enter each shop. Social distancing measures are in place, to keep you safe. We will request that you wear a face-covering when you enter indoor areas.

Can I pay for goods using cash?
We ask that you pay for goods using a cashless method.

Can I book a Farmer’s Day?
Sorry, we will not be offering farmer’s days at the present time. We will let you know through our website and social media channels when we can start to take bookings again.

Can we still see the animals?
Absolutely! All your favourite animals are looking forward to seeing you again. Pearl the Shire, Reynard the calf, Ruby the miniature donkey, and numerous goats, Kunekune pigs, Pygmy goats, cows, alpacas, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, and many more friendly animals are waiting to greet you.
