Storytime With The Rose Princess on World Book Day

Thursday 6th March – 10am – 2pm (at intervals)

Join the Rose Princess this World Book Day for lots of stories and singing at Longdown Activity Farm – she can’t wait to hear all about your favourite books and characters.

Join her in the Piglets Seating Area where she will be reading some of Longdown Activity Farm’s very own storybooks. (No extra charge to normal admission.)

No additional charge to meet the Rose Princess. Our usual schedule of animal activities will run throughout the day.

The Great Big Golden Egg Hunt

Friday 18th April, Saturday 19th April, Sunday 20th April and Monday 21st April

Four days of eggy fun.

The Easter Bunny has visited the Farm and hidden 20 golden eggs for you to find  EVERY day!

There are no clues, and they are VERY hard to find. There will be a prize for those who are fortunate enough to find a golden egg. Will it be YOU!

No additional charge to take part in the Great Big Golden Egg Hunt. Our usual schedule of animal activities will run throughout the day.

Tractor Time

Saturday 17th May and Sunday 18th May

If you like tractors, you’ll love Longdown when our friends from The New Forest Tractor & Engine Preservation Society come to visit us for the weekend. Tractor enthusiasts will be delighted to have the opportunity to see a variety of tractors from yesteryear featuring names such as Ferguson, Fordson, Nuffield, and many others.

Plenty of experts will be on hand to answer questions and to talk tractors. There will also be a static display of stationary engines to watch, as they puff and steam away. For those that enjoy a bumpy ride, tractor and trailer rides will be on offer at intervals during the day (ground conditions permitting).

No additional charge for Tractor Time. Our usual schedule of animal activities will run throughout the day.

It’s Frightfully Fun at the Farm

Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November 2025

Enter the HHHHAUNTED BARN at your peril from Saturday 25th October through to Sunday 2nd November for a howlingly good time. Encounter real-life barn owls and creepy creatures with the Creature Teachers on the spooky day itself – Friday 31st October!

The Pumpkin Quest promises to be fun for all the family too – everyone will enjoy spotting the mischievous orange faces around the farm as they discover each naughty pumpkin in unexpected places (no prizes, just spookily good fun). Available for the duration of half-term.

After all the scary stuff, calm down with the friendly farm animals, and join in with a full schedule of farm activities throughout the day.

No additional charge for our Halloween attractions or Creature Teachers. Our usual schedule of animal activities will run throughout the day.
